The Eiffel Suite. The view wasn't photoshopped. Breakfast with that oval window, the twinkle at night, everything it promises, delivered. One honest note: this is the most in demand room in the hotel. Book it well ahead or you'll end up in a lovely room that isn't this one. Book through The Check-In and the perks come standard.

Cavo Tagoo is the view. Perched above the caldera in Imerovigli, this is Santorini at its most dreamlike. Your screensaver will never look the same. The food will make you want to cancel your flight. The hospitality makes you feel like the only guests on the island. One honest note: you'll need a taxi to get anywhere. Walking into town in that heat is a choice you'll only make once. Book the balcony jacuzzi rooms if privacy matters. Nobody watching you over the railing. Worth every night.

Only a New Yorker knows what it means to look at the Brooklyn Bridge and actually feel something. What surprised me most was how close it feels from the room. Closer than you'd expect, closer than any photo prepares you for. Spacious, moody, calm. Eco-friendly toiletries generously stocked, beds worth staying in, and interiors that don't try too hard. This hotel is not pretentious. It's for the woman who knows class isn't always loud. Call this borough home, even for the night.
