For over a decade I sat in consumer finance helping other people plan their futures. Turns out I was really just waiting to plan my own. The Check-In by Elan exists for one woman. The one who knows what she wants, has done all the research, and still doesn't fully trust any of it. She's right not to. I built this for her.

BEGINS
Before The Check-In by Elan existed, there was a travel influencer who almost happened. She hit a thousand followers, stayed in the rooms, and paid for every single one herself. Then the hotels came calling. She said no.
They wanted deliverables. Content. Work that benefited them, not the woman planning the trip. Elan had been in enough rooms to know the difference between a hotel that actually cares about the guest and one that checks you in, checks you out, and never thinks about you again. She built The Check-In so her opinion would always belong to the person booking the trip. Not the one selling it. I've never taken a free stay. Which means I know exactly what every hotel on this list owes you.
Hotels don't pay for a spot on this list. They earn it the moment a guest stops feeling like a transaction. Beautiful rooms are easy. Hotels that actually take care of you after check-in are not.
And when they don't make the list, they hear about that too. That's not a threat. That's the whole point. The Check-In by Elan exists because you deserve to know what's actually in the room before you book it.
